Guidelines for FTC Membership
|
- Admission Form/Waiver/Passport - All members must have a current signed waiver on file before commencing any activity in the Fitness Training Center (FTC), as well as a copy of their passports.
- Membership -All FTC participants must have a current membership to use the Center. Failure to have a current membership will result in you not being able to enter the FTC.
- Sign-in - All members are required to sign in at all times before using any part of the FTC. This applies to every aspect and activity within our centre: personal training appointments, group fitness classes, weight room, dance classes and any other activity that takes place in the FTC. This applies to both adults and children.
- Refund & Membership Freezing – Refunds or freezing any FTC membership package for medical reasons will only be given if a full Medical Report (written) is produced and after consulting the FTC Administrator or in the event a Pre-Paid course was cancelled by CSA. Refunds are not given because the participant did not use the gym or attend classes. Refunds are not given because someone is leaving the country before the membership expires
- Refunds for Private Classes – Since these classes are outside the scope of CSA FTC management, FTC holds no responsibility for refunds or make up classes, this responsibility should be taken care by the class instructor.
- Group Fitness Classes - Members may not join group fitness classes that have already started. If you are late, you are unable to join the class to avoid disruption of the class. CSA has the right to cancel a group fitness class when participation is below minimum.
- Indoor Athletic Shoes and Attire – To protect the floors and equipment and for the general protection and comfort of others, members should have Indoor Athletic Shoes specifically for use at the FTC as well as proper exercise attire.
- Cardio Equipment – At peak hours, usage on the cardio equipment is limited to 30 minutes per machine. This is to ensure that all members are able to participate in their cardiovascular workouts.
- Weights/Equipment on Benches/Floors – Members are requested to re-rack their weights after finishing each exercise. Please do not place any weights directly on any bench. If you are unsure how to use any equipment, please see the FTC staff.
- Floor exercises – During busy /crowded times in the weight rooms, members are encouraged to use the stretching area for any floor exercises (E.g. abs/exercises that require mats). This area is situated opposite the treadmills.
- Mobile Phone Use – Mobile phone use should be kept to an absolute minimum. Members who have to use the phone for emergency purposes are requested to do so in the reception area.
- Visitors – At no time, may members have visitors inside of the FTC workout areas. Visitors may wait for members in the garden area. Front Desk Personnel will inform the member he/she has a visitor.
- Music & Magazines – FTC staff will regulate type and volume of music at all times. Requests will be considered, but are at the discretion of the FTC staff. Magazines and other reading material are for use in the FTC only and are not to be taken out of FTC.
- AC – FTC staff will regulate the temperature when necessary. Requests will be considered, but are at the discretion of the FTC staff.
- Personal Belongings – The FTC will not be responsible for your personal belongings. Lockers are available for your convenience. Padlocks are available at the reception and should be returned on leaving the FTC. Lockers are for day use only. FTC has the right to open up lockers which are left locked overnight.
- Towels – Please make sure that you always bring your own Towel.
- No Children under the Age of 16 are Allowed – for safety reasons, no children will be allowed in the gym premises. Children under 16 may use the facilities only under the Youth Program with a Personal Trainer.
- Unsupervised Children- CSA is not responsible for the safety or security of unsupervised children. Children must be directly supervised by an adult at all times while in CSA premises. - children are not permitted to wander alone. As they may injure themselves or resources.
- Children Behavior- Supervising adults are responsible for the behavior, inconveniences and disruption that children under their care may provide.
- Parents- No viewing of classes by parents is permitted; the instructor will specify the schedule in which parents are able to participate.
- Member Privileges- All Annual Memberships come with 3 FREE guest passes and a 60 day FREEZE period, where you can freeze at a minimum of 15 days at a time. Free passes are not given out unless the guest is present. This is to monitor guest passes. NOTE: There is one guest pass, per guest per year. Therefore, one person cannot use three guest passes at different times throughout the year. All members are entitled to the following services free of charge on joining: free Fitness Assessment / Orientation for all GF, Gym and Combo Members.
- Damage to Gym Facilities- An extra charge will be required for any damage arising from any careless use of equipment or weights.
- Personal Trainers - Personal Trainers are freelance, their program and pricing is outside FTC management. CSA holds no responsibility or liability for any mal-practice or injury arising from your participation in such program.
- Termination of Membership - Failure to follow FTC Protocol will result in a verbal warning. Should it be necessary and a second instance occur the member will receive a formal written notice that should any further infringement occur your Fitness Membership will be revoked and all monies be forfeited by the member. No refunds will be given.
