Eat Well and Look Beautiful

By Katya Flores

This time it is not all about what to wear to look beautiful but about what to eat to feel and look great!

As the articles from La Boutique in the CSA magazine are directed mainly at women who care about fashion, beauty and health, I would like to share with all of you something that captured my attention one day walking through the mall.

Whilst window shopping, (since this is what I do now that I have found the La Boutique Shop at CSA) and walking past a bookstore, a certain book caught my eye. The book was called "Beauty Food", so I entered the store right away, gave it a quick read, and decided to buy it. This book contains a great deal of useful and interesting information about how food impacts our health and beauty.  Books like this are full of very interesting information such as the importance of chewing our food well and the great benefits of a simple tomato.

These are a few useful tips that I have read and would like to share:

Yes to walking (at least 3 times a week), No to television (especially if you eat in front of it), No to snacking (instead, have 5 well-well-thought-out meals throughout the day.

For shiny hair, include egg yolk, dark chocolate, nutritional yeast, watercress, orange-carrot juice in your diet.

The more colourful the food is, the richer it is in antioxidants and vitamins, colourful fruit and vegetables are high in fibre.

And one final thought; almost everyone, including myself, wants to get rid of those extra kilos we gained from all that delicious food we ate.   We go on crazy diets trying to achieve our "ideal weight" and do nothing more than risking our health.

Check with a nutritionist and make sure you are eating properly, read about all the amazing benefits that fruits and vegetables provide to our body.

AND REMEMBER, IF YOU FEEL GOOD YOU LOOK GOOD!
